Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! Part 7

I made the mistake of ordering an Uber X instead of an Uber XL because it was closer to our location. The jalopy that arrived had the windows down indicating no AC! The destination we choose was the iconic PV Malecon! http://maleconpuertovallarta.com/ No visit to PV would be complete without checking out the Malecón! The Malecón is a 12-block, mile-long esplanade in Puerto Vallarta‘s Centro and Zona Romántica. We got out of the Uber at the Presidential Municipal square which was at the heart of everything! We walked to the Church of the Guadalupe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Our_Lady_of_Guadalupe_(Puerto_Vallarta) which features the prominent image the PV cityscape is known for (the Crown of our Lady Sculpture). There were quite a few pedestrians milling around and we took the obligatory photo then proceeded to the Presidential Square where local food vendors were set up. The entire area was a beehive of activity and it was clearly an area that locals and tourists were drawn to. We made our way to the famous seahorse statue which stood in front of large multi-colored letters that spelled out Puerto Vallarta. There was a line of sightseers posing for photos being taken by a gentleman who appeared to be doing so with the expectation of gratuity. We decided to take the opportunity to just walk and take in all the sights. The proximity to the ocean and shoreline was magnificent! I was tempted to purchase some homemade ice cream from one of the stalls but thought better of it as they’re known to use raw milk! All in all, it was a full day and we made our way back to the condo exhausted!
