After our morning at Los Muertos and our day exploring, we were ready to reunite with David, our realtor to actually tour properties. We agreed to meeting David at the Tropicas Realty office which was located a short wak from the condo. We spent about 15 minutes seeing a presentation about the Encore development located in Versalles (we had seen the site of the develpment on our own the day prior). David also had other properties in Versalles to show us. Our reason for choosing this neighborhood is that it is considered an up and coming area with ex-pat appeal. There are many new apartment complexes located there – some suitable, some not so. There are also restaurants springing up througout the neighboorhood and the area was walkable. Note: they don’t have residential refuse bins here! They simply put their bagged trash on the curb or at the nearest intersection! There was one building in particular where there was a resident relaxing in the rooftop pool. Observing that we were being shown around, he took the opportunity to calmly advise us to stay far away! He excoriated the agent who was showing the place and complained that his air conditioning had been out for several months. It was uncomfortable, but it gave us a first hand example of how a pig can be made presentable with a little lipstick! The last stop on our tour was a single family house located in the Fluvial neighborhood not too far from a large grocery store and Costco! https://www.point2homes.com/MX/Home-For-Sale/Jalisco/Puerto-Vallarta/Fluvial/130-Rio-Nilo-Casa-Rio-Nilo-Puerto-Vallarta/124309967.html The contemporary styled house was on a block directly across the street from a nice park. There were 5 identical homes on the block with one fully finished and being offered for rent. The agent showed us one that was far enough along in the process that it could be toured. We noticed that there wasn’t the usual bee-hive of construction activity that one might see with a house under construction in the States. There was one lone worker in the home next door who appeared to be on siesta! We were impressed with the layout and the rooftop outdoor space. We ended our tour and made our way back to the condo. We decided to spend some time on the rooftop where we were able to enjoy the jacuzzi and the awesome view of the PV skyline.
