We’re in Dublin, Georgia!

After ending what was a completely tortuous March, we are getting settled in my Brother’s second home in Dublin, Georgia. The house is smaller than what we’re used to, but we are comfortable and there’s two dedicated office spaces which is very practical since we both work from home! The house is close to Interstate 16 which takes you into Savannah, Georgia, or to I75 to get to Atlanta. Dublin is very quiet and the house is close to everything essential such as the grocery store (Kroger), Home Depot, WalMart, fast food, and restaurants. People are also very friendly here. True southern hospitality reigns and it’s not uncommon for strangers to wave when passing by in their cars and to greet you warmly when you’re out and about in public. Since we’ve moved in, we have yet to spend an entire weekend in the house as we’ve had back to back weekends traveling to San Antonio, Texas, for my Grandmother’s memorial service, and Norwalk, Connecticut, for Ken’s Mother’s 92nd Birthday. Our Atlanta house has been freshly painted throughout, professionally, cleaned, and staged and is expected to list on April 14th. We are happy with how amazing the initial photos shared by our realtor look. Nothing would make us happier than to get a quick sale so we can embark upon our planned new house in Savannah. We will be closing on the lot April 15th. In the meantime, a possible new job opportunity has presented itself and it may allow be to get back to working with government programs which is something I miss.
