Preparing a home for market even one that has been well maintained is not easy and you must be prepared for all of the factors leading up to an eventual listing especially in today’s demanding U.S. real estate market. I sold my rental in Baltimore “as is” simply because making improvements prior to listing was cost prohibited. Luckily, there is a strong investor demand in the Baltimore market so I was able to get a sale price that enabled me to walk away from the settlement table with some cash in hand.
