After what seemed like an eternity laying the foundation, construction has proceeded pretty quickly. Framing is almost complete and our contractor expects the exterior and roof to be completed by the end of December! We are currently anticipating the house to be complete by late April or early May of 2024. I am in awe of my Husband Ken who has been dilligently tracking the budget and making modifications to the plans as we progress with the build. Some of the modifications have involved the size of the guest bedrooms and the living room fireplace. Thankfully, Savannah has been relatively dry for the past several months which has allowed things to stay on track. We are also fortunate that we haven’t had any material delays. We visit the site regularly to take photos and aerial shots with our drone. It’s amazing to see how much progress has taken place since September when the lot clearing was wrapping up and where we are now. On a professional note, my job with the Georgia Department of Community Supervision is going well and I am actually being considered for a promotion after only 5 months! I enjoy what I do and am grateful to have found an employment opportunity that is both enjoyable, meaningful, and rewarding. We will be going to the mountains with my Mother-In-Law and a family friend for Christmas and spending the New Year’s Holiday in Puerto Vallarta at an all inclusive resort!
