There are times when the home building process seems like it’s moving along at an even clip and then there are times when it seems interminable! Installation of electrical wrapped up the week of 2/5/24. Spray foam installation was supposed to take place this week, but 2 days of rain threw that off schedule. We expect the spray foam insulation to go in the week of 2/19. With the completion of insulation, the next major milestone will be dry wall! Dry wall should be completed in March. After dry wall completion, trim and flooring go in. We have also settled on an exterior paint color. We originally chose a white exterior but have changed our minds and are going with a grey/white trim combination. If all goes well, we should be moving in sometime in May. We are feverishly trying to make sure we order and have on hand various components so as not to throw things off schedule. Our general contractor has been wonderful and we have nothing but good things to say about his management of this project. On our last visit to the site I noticed my car covered in pollen so Spring is right around the corner. I’m starting to get Spring fever and would love to be settling in! We still haven’t nailed down a cabinet manufacturer and I’m starting to get antsy about this, but I’m trusting the process since everything has gone so smoothly thus far.
