It’s March 1st and if all goes as planned, we should be finished with the construction of our Savannah home in about 160 days. Dry wall installation is underway and should be completed in another week. Being able to see the space with walls is amazing! All of the exterior board and batten is finished and we should be painting soon. The garage door has been ordered and should be installed in about 2-3 weeks. Once drywall is completed, interior painting will occur and hardwood floors will be installed. The septic tank is being installed today and well installation should be taking place in about 1 week. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to come! You know it’s on the way, but it seems like it will never come! My husband Ken is amazing. He is constantly searching on line for fixtures that match what our designer picked out and he has been pretty successful at finding the same items at a lower cost. We are still trying to find a cabinet fabricator (one that we can afford!). We turned to Next Door which often times can be a reliable source for finding contractors locally. There’s nothing like word of mouth! We have been stockpiling finishing items and furniture pieces because we capitalize on sales when we spot them.
