After what was the terror of living through Hurricane Helene, comes the realization that life goes on. As each successive days pass, the memory of the nightmare becomes dimmer. We have much to be thankful for. Our home wasn’t damaged and we have our lives. Many people affected by this terrible storm can’t say that. Some lost their lives, and some have months of anguish to face while they try to rebuild their lives. We hired someone to clean up the storm debris and to cut up the fallen trees. We redoubled our efforts to once and for all get our garage cleaned out so our cars could be parked appropriately. My husband Ken’s car was damaged during the storm and an insurance claim is pending. We are now gearing up for the holidays and an expected visit from both mine and Ken’s families. The weather has definitely turned a page and we are experiencing chilly mornings and evenings as Fall takes hold. This is my favorite time of the year!
Life goes on!
