After enduring our first (and rare) snowfall in Savannah, we are now experiencing the first harbinger’s of Spring. Temperatures for the past week have been in the 80’s! We’ve actually had to run our air conditioning. We took the opportunity this past weekend to get out and about in our beautiful city. We had breakfast Saturday at one of our favorite spots Double-Wide Diner downtown on Bay Street. https://www.treylorpark.com/locations/double-wide-diner/ They have an eclectic menu and the atmospere is fun. From there we headed over to Forsyth Park. This park is one of Savannah’s oldest and spans over 30 acres. It features the iconic fountain usually seen in photos intended to capture the essence of Savannah. https://www.forsythpark.com/ It was a perfect day for strolling the farmer’s market and the variety of vendors featured there. I am grateful for the warmer weather as I really missed sitting on our front porch taking in the peace and tranquility. I know before long it will be oppresively warm, but that’s what southern living is all about!
Spring is on the way!
