Birthday Boy!

Yesterday, August 18th, I celebrated my 66th Birthday! My baby Sister, Shannon came to Savannah to help me celebrate the occasion as she has been doing for the past 10 years (with the exception 2020 during the pandemic!). She arrived on the 13th and we had a wonderful weekend together. We started on Friday evening with a visit to Bar Julian https://www.barjulian.com/ for light fare and cocktails. We picked back up on Saturday by having breakfast at Toast All Day Savannah https://toastallday.com/ A great all day breakfast spot downtown. We got an early start as to beat the oppressive Summer heat. We arrived around 8:40 and to our suprise, it was actually nice enough to sit outside! We then headed over to the Forstyth Farmers Market. We scored a great parking spot directly accross the street from the park and were able to get in and out just as the heat was starting to announce its presence! We then headed to Oglethorpe Mall for some brief shopping. We capped the day off with dinnger at Garibaldi https://garibaldisavannah.com/ Where we had an early Birthday dinner. Note: I had the Steak Diane and it was to die for! The 18th arrived with surprise baloons and a card from my Husband Ken. My Sister left Savannah yesterday to return to San Antonio, Texas. It’s surreal to think that I am now 66 and will start collecting Social Security next month! I am grateful to still be here enjoying life and in good health! Now we count down the 12 days before our Greek Island Glow cruise on Virgin!
