March is here!

We are a week away from the start of daylight savings time and the arrival of longer days and the start of the Spring season. We have been busy taking care of household projects. We had our primary bedroom repainted using the latest desing trend – color drench. One of the disadvantages of painting all of one’s walls white in a newly constructed home is that after living in it for a period of time it can become somewhat boring. Our bedroom is huge and also features a vaulted ceiling. The furniture, rug, and wall art weren’t making a statement of any kind. We choose a rich dark navy blue. I was initially afraid that it might make the bedroom too dark. However, after its execution I can honestly say it’s very strking. Seeing every surface (including the baseboards and doors) painted in this color is giving a very rich and elevated look. We’ve also screened in our back porch area which should make using the outdoor living space more practical as mosquitoes here are relentless! Being able to use the hot tub as well as dining alfresco should be much more enjoyable with the screened in protection.
