We opted to get away for the 4th by going to Daytona Beach Shores. Although I have had the State of Florida on my banned places to visit list, decided since the entire U.S. is trash right now, it really didn’t matter! We found a beach front AirBnb that was reasonably priced located at the Daytona Beach and Resort Conference Center. We quickly discovered why the place was so cheap! The building is in poor condition (dark and dingey) and none of the amenities are currently offered due to hurricane damage from last year. The only saving grace was an exceptionally clean condo with waterfront views. We enjoyed spending time on the terrace listening to the waves and watching the ocean. The location directly accross the street from a stip mall with a grocery store and dining options more than made up for the poor asthetics overall. We had some great dining experiences while we were there. We probably would not rent this unit again.
