One thing anyone that’s ever been to Savannah will tell you is that Summers here can be brutal! The month of July and most of August have offered temperatures in the high 90’s with heat indices in excess of 105 degrees! Needless to say, it makes outdoor activities impractical! My mom, along with her dog “Brandi”, spent the month of July in Dublin, GA at my brother’s second home – affectionately referred to at “the diggins” to take a sabbatical to recharge and do some writing. Dublin is only an hour and a half from Savannah so we got to see her twice during her stay. My neice and her son also visited and he just loves me and Ken. We also managed several trips to Tybee Island when the temperatures allowed it. We’re capping of the Summer with my birthday celebration (August 18th) and the annual visit from my baby Sister. We had the opportunity check out The Waving Girl Rooftop https://www.thewavinggirl.com/?SEO_id=GMB–R-ATLUVPO-1 Located on the top floor of the Tempo by Hilton Savannah. The lounge is cozy and there is outdoor seating overlooking dowtown. Their menu features shareables and wonderful craft cocktails. We’ll do dinner on my Birthday at The Olde Pink House. Here’s to 67 trips around the sun!
