We spent the Indigenous People’s Day Holiday weekend in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Specifically, Corolla to celebrate my husband Ken’s 65th Birthday. We shared a beach house with 9 other friends. Although the weather was less than desireable, we had a great time relaxing and catching up with the guys. The trip from Savannah to Corolla is about 8 and 1/2 hours. Stopping to charge our vehicle added 2 hours to the journey. Planning a route that includes convenient locations to charge an ev can be challenging, but it was manageable. It’s amazing how rapidly the weather changes with the seasons! The Outer Banks during peak season can be crowded and extremely hot! Going off season has it’s advantages, but enjoying the beach is not one of them!
